UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES BANGALORE

In 1913, Sir M Vishveshwaraiah, the then Diwan of Mysore (1912-1919) played the key role in establishing the Mysore Agriculture residential School at Hebbal in 1913 to offer Licentiate in Agriculture for fifteen students annually. In 1946 Agriculture College, Hebbal was established. In 1963, Government of Mysore decided to establish University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore (UASB) along the lines of Land Grant College system of USA. The circular emblem of the university has a triangle with a traditional lamp in the map of the State of Karnataka, which is surrounded by a variety of cereals; varieties of vegetables and fruits and a scene of an agricultural farm. All these are ensconced in a white border on which the name of the university and its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषितो नास्ती दुर्भिक्षम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture Eradicates Famine’ are inscribed. The traditional lamp represents light, path for growth and way forward.

The circular emblem in orange and green has a gear wheel housing a pair of laurels and circle containing a map of India and its year of establishment ensconced by its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ on a green border. The gear wheel signifies interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure; the laurels signify victory and achievement, they are a reminder of the hard work and dedication that it takes to achieve success; map of India denotes its service to the entire India and to the world; the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

GLOBAL CENTRE FOR NUCLEAR ENERGY PARTNERSHIP Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership (GCNEP) comes under the purview of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of Government of India. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. The motto of the institution is written along the circumference in Devanagari ‘राष्ट्र की सेवा में परमाणु’ meaning ‘Atoms in the Service of the Nation, above and below respectively in grey. The taglines are supported on either side by Indian National Tricolour stripes.

DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. Biology, Ballistics, Chemistry, Explosive, Physics and Toxicology. AMITY UNIVERSITY RAJASTHAN The emblem of Amity University Rajasthan (AU R) has a shield divided into yellow and dark blue sections. The dark blue portion is a left to right upward sweeping stroke, bearing the name of the university. The yellow portion has a torch, the flame of which is written using its acronym.
