UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES

University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur is a university exclusively dedicated to the study and research of agricultural sciences established by the Government of Karnataka at Raichur district through the University of Agricultural Sciences Act, 2009. The emblem of UAS has a rising sun in yellow with a tractor in it. It is supported in the centre by an open book on which a Kannada slogan is written on it, on the left by an ear of corn and on the right by a sunflower. Below the book its year of establishment is written. All these are ensconced in a circle with black border line. Its name in Kannada and English are written around the circle in blue. Two green colour laurels surround all these. All these are placed on a base, which bears its motto in Kannada ‘ಹಸಿರೇ ಉಸಿರು’ meaning ‘Green is Life’ is written. The open book denotes knowledge and wisdom; the corn and sunflower are the local crops; the tractor is an agricultural machinery; the sun denotes light, universal prosperity and path for growth and the laurels symbolise victory, accomplishment, honour, recognition, immortality, peace and harmony.

MAULANA MAZHARUL HAQUE ARABIC AND PERSIAN UNIVERSITY Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic And Persian University (MMHAPU) Patna was established under the provisions of the Bihar State Universities Act. 1976. The cyan, green and red emblem of the university has a plaque with rising sun above flowing waters supported by two palm trees and crested its motto in Arabic ‘طلب العلم فريضة’ meaning ‘Seeking Knowledge is an Obligation’. It is circumscribed by its name in Arabic and Devanagari in green and cyan. At the bottom, on a banner its year of establishment is written. The rising sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth; the palm trees symbolise peace, abundance and victory and the flowing waters denote passage of time and life.
