PASCHIM BANGA GRAMIN BANK

Paschim Banga Gramin Bank (PBGB) was established through the Government of India Notification No.1/4/2006 – RRB dated the February 26, 2007. The logo of the bank is inspired from the Bengali letter ‘প’ and written in extra bold strokes in blue colour, with its counter filled with a yellow circle and a radiating blue lamp. The traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, peace, tranquillity, calmness, trust, stability and reliability and it is used to convey a sense of professionalism and dependability. The colour yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity and orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness. Overall, the logo and its colours represent the brand adequately well.

COTTON UNIVERSITY Cotton University (CU) was formerly known as Cotton College, the institute was established in 1901 by Sir Henry Stedman Cotton, the Chief Commissioner of the erstwhile British province of Assam. It became a constituent college of Gauhati University in 1948. In 2011 the Cotton College State University was established vide an Act of the Government of Assam, with the college as a constituent. PALLAVA DYNASTY - BULL The Pallava Dynasty existed from 275 CE to 897 CE, ruling a significant portion of the Deccan, also known as Thondaimandalam. The dynasty rose to prominence after the downfall of the Satavahana dynasty, with whom they had formerly served as feudatories. The Pallavas became a major South Indian power during the reign of Mahendravarman I(600–630 CE) and Narasimhavarman I (630–668 CE), dominating for about 600 years, until the end of the 9th century. Kancheepuram served as the capital of the Pallava kingdom.  They developed the Pallava script, from which, Grantha ultimately took form. This script eventually gave rise to several other Southeast Asian scripts such Khmer. The Chinese traveller Xuanzang visited Kanchipuram during Pallava rule and extolled their benign rule.
