UTTARAKHAND AYURVED UNIVERSITY

Uttarakhand Ayurved University (UAU) is a public state university located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. It was established in 2009 by the Government of Uttarakhand. Its yellow, orange green and blue emblem has an orange rising sun supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘शाश्वतो अयमायुर्वेदः’ meaning ‘The Eternal Ayurveda’ and a few book topped with a herb, ensconced in circular border bearing its name in Devanagari and English. The rising sun denotes light, universal prosperity and path for growth the herb symbolises the study of ayurveda and the book denotes knowledge and wisdom.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

On a blue ribbon placed below the star, the name and place of the college are written.
