The emblem of the university college has the Staff of Hermes or Caduceus, depicted as a stick entwined by two snakes representing the medical profession; a 'poorna kumbh' topped with lotus symbolising life at its finest, abundance and God; lotus signifying purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; a pair of elephants signifying power, strength, unity and wisdom and water signifying life, motion and fertility. All these motifs are topped by a banner inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ meaning ‘From Darkness, Lead me to Light’. This banner and all the motifs are placed on a plaque. At the bottom on a banner, the name of the college is written and below that its location and year of establishment is written.
