UTTARBANGA KSHETRIYA GRAMIN BANK

Uttarbanga Kshetriya Gramin Bank, a Regional Rural Ban sponsored by Central Bank of India, was established on the March 7, 1977. The red colour emblem of the bank has a jar or pot which has a branch of a plant with seven leaves growing from a flowerpot placed on it and a wheel placed on the flowerpot on a platform. Its name ‘উত্তরবঙ্গ ক্ষেত্রীয় গ্রামীণ ব্যাংক’ is written above the jar in Bengali. The jar or pot denotes the waters of the river and kitty bank; the branch of leaves from the flowerpot denote agriculture and its production and growth; the wheel represents motion, growth and development and red is a highly visible colour and is often associated with passion, power, valour, energy and productivity. Overall, the logo is an emphatic statement of the bank’s intended brand value.
