ANAND AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Anand Agricultural University (AAU) was established in 2004 at Anand with the support of the Government of Gujarat, Act No.(Guj 5 of 2004) dated April 29, 2004. The emblem of the university has a light green and dark green colour pictorial of a leaf or 'a' supported by its acronym in white. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘कृणवन्तो राष्ट्रं कृषि संपन्नम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture Made the Nation Rich’ is placed below the pictorial. The green leaf symbolises hope, renewal and revival and the colour green denotes agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
