GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, DHARMAPURI (GCE DPI) The shield shaped emblem of Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri (GCE DPI) features a sculpture of a woman and a man ensconced by a blue circular border carrying the motifs of motifs of a computer, a power symbols, a set of gear wheels, a microscope, a satellite dish antenna and bridges representing the branches of engineering; circumscribed by its name in Tamil and its tagline in Tamil ‘நூல் பல கல்’ meaning ‘Read Many Books’. A traditional lamp crests the circle. The shield is superimposed at the bottom by a greenish blue banner inscribed with its motto in Tamil ‘அறிவே ஆக்கம் சூழல் காப்போம்’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Creation Protect the Environment’ and supported by a pair of laurels on the sides.
