NEWTON'S INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING MACHERLA (NEWTONS NIE) The emblem of Newton's Institute of Engineering Macherla (Newtons NIE) features the initials ‘NIE’ in italics bold sans-serif capitals supported on the left by a globe ensconced by a gearwheel with the inscription of the college’s motto ‘In Pursuit of Discovering Technical Excellency’. The globe symbolises education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; and the gearwheel denotes engineering, technology, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.
