MAR BASELIOS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE (MBITS) The emblem of Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science (MBITS) features a traditional lamp supporting its initials ‘MBITS’ and three strokes of light blue to dark blue strokes ensconced by a semicircular border inscribed with its name and a semicircular gearwheel. This assemblage is supported by a pair of laurels and a blue banner inscribed with its motto ‘Wisdom Crowns Knowledge’. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the gearwheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the convey a sense of movement, fluidity, or a modern aesthetic.
