ARULMIGU MEENAKSHI AMMAN COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (AMEC) The circular emblem of Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman College of Engineering (AMEC) features a cyan circle housing the motifs of the iconic Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple gopuram, a satellite dish antenna, a traditional lamp and a roll mill; and its motto in Tamil ‘வாய்மையே வெல்லும்’ meaning ‘Truth Alone Triumphs’. This circle is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The seal is supported by a red banner inscribed with the college’s year of establishment. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the other motifs symbolise the subjects of engineering.
