GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, KARAD ( GCEK ) The gold and blue circular emblem of Government College of Engineering, Karad (GCEK) features a shield with the motifs of a bridge, a micrometer screwgauge, an open book, and a glowing sun, with a radiating star cresting the shield. The name of the college surmounts the shield and its motto ‘Truth Endurance Perfection’ supports it. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the radiating star suggests enlightenment, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.

GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING KANNUR (GCEK) The oval shaped emblem of Government College of Engineering Kannur (GCEK) features the motifs of a pair of electrical transmission towers, a multi-storey building, a pair of meshing gear wheels, and a computer denotin engineering education; supported on sides by a pair of traditional lamps; surmounted by its name and place and supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर गमय’ meaning ‘meaning ‘Lead Me from Darkness to Light’ is written. The lamps symbolise light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
