PSG COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE (PSGCAS) The blue emblem of PSG College of Arts and Science (PSGCAS) features a shield inscribed with the letters ‘PSG’ and ‘CAS’; and the motifs of a lotus, and a burning torch. On a banner placed across the shield, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவு அன்பு பணி’ meaning ‘ Knowledge Love Work ’ is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty. The year of the establishment of the college is written below the shield.
