S J C INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (SJCIT) The emblem of S J C Institute of Technology (SJCIT) features a shield housing the motifs of a windmill, a transmission tower, a safety engineer, a satellite, a house and a bridge and its initials ‘SJCIT’. The shield is surmounted by its motto ‘Knowledge is Wealth’ and ‘VTU’; supported on sides a pair of laurels; an open book at the bottom; and three banners inscribed by the managing Trust of the college, the name of the college, and place. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.
