GHOUSIA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (GCE) The emblem of Ghousia College of Engineering (GCE) features a minaret of a mosque with a crescent, a bridge, a pair of gear wheels, an electrical transmission tower and its motto ‘قرأ باسم ربك’ which is the first verse of Surah Al-Alaq (Chapter 96) of the Quran, meaning ‘Read in the Name of Your Lord’ placed within a shape of an Islamic arch and supported by a banner inscribed with the name of the college. The arch and minaret signify the religious affiliation and the divine grace and blessings; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.
