GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, JALGAON (GCOEJ) The emblem of Government College of Engineering, Jalgaon (GCOEJ) features a gearwheel housing a traditional lamp of Maharashtra ‘ Laman Diva ’. The wheel is surrounded by the motifs of a satellite dish antenna, an artificial satellite, an electronics circuit, and a production machine representing the subject disciplines of engineering. The name of the college surmounts the circular seal and is supported by a pair of hands. The motto of the college ‘राष्ट्रोद्धाराय तंत्र शिक्षणम्’ meaning ‘ Technical Education for the Upliftment of the Nation ’ is inscribed on a banner placed on the hands. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
