ICCS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT (ICCS CEM) The seal of the ICCS College of Engineering and Management (ICCS CEM) features an abstract motif of two humans holding a torch together placed on a book depicted as a mortarboard hat ensconced by greenish blue circular border inscribed with its initials ‘ICCS’ and its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is written. Below the seal, a handshake is placed and on the slides a pair of laurels are placed. The seal is crested by three stars. The mortarboard or Oxford hat refers to educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the humans refer to the students and teachers; the book refers to education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work...
