SAHYADRI VALLEY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY (SVCET) The violet and light yellow colour shield shaped emblem of Sahyadri Valley College of Engineering & Technology (SVCET) features the initials of the college ‘SVCET’ supported by the motif of ‘Sahyadri Valley’, a gearwheel, a diagram of an atom, an open book and its motto ‘Valley of Knowledge’. Below the shield, on a banner, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या विनयं पात्रताम् सुखम्’ (Hitopadesha) meaning ‘Knowledge, Humility Comes Eligibility and Happiness’ is inscribed. A pair of laurels support the seal. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the gearwheel and atom refers to science, engineering and technology; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

The image is supported by the words ‘SV Colleges’ and ‘Since 1981’ of the college. This assemblage is supported by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college.
