The emblem of Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT) features a yellow panel inscribed with the name of the Institute in blue and with an abstract silhouette of a butterfly. The tagline of the college ‘Transforming Lives’ is written on a green banner. The butterfly symbolises transformation, rebirth, and hope, often representing the journey from a difficult past to a more beautiful future. They also symbolises freedom, endurance, and the soul, and are associated with joy, lightness, and new beginnings across many cultures.

GLOBAL CENTRE FOR NUCLEAR ENERGY PARTNERSHIP Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership (GCNEP) comes under the purview of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of Government of India. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. The motto of the institution is written along the circumference in Devanagari ‘राष्ट्र की सेवा में परमाणु’ meaning ‘Atoms in the Service of the Nation, above and below respectively in grey. The taglines are supported on either side by Indian National Tricolour stripes.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

The circular emblem in orange and green has a gear wheel housing a pair of laurels and circle containing a map of India and its year of establishment ensconced by its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ on a green border. THANGAVEL WOMEN’S ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE (TWASC) The emblem of Thangavel Women’s Arts And Science College (TWASC) features a ‘Vel’, the sacred spear of Lord Muruga supported by a nib of a pen also depicted as a lotus supported by an open book. The motto of the college ‘கற்றனைத்தூறும் அறிவு’ (396, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed below the pictorial. The name and details of the college are written at the bottom. The ‘Vel’ is the divine spear of Lord Muruga or Shanmuga. According to Shaiva tradition, the goddess Parvati presented the Vel to her son Murugan, as an embodiment of her shakti, in order to vanquish the asura Surapadman. The lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; and the book refers to education, learning and wisdom.
