GANDHI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, RAYAGADA (GIST) The emblem of Gandhi Institute of Science and Technology, Rayagada (GIST) features a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi with the initials of the college above him and the name of the college below him. A traditional lamp crests the emblem. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope.

GEETHANJALI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (GIST) The emblem of Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) features an orange shield housing a glowing sun and a green abstract plant supported by a banner inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘हृदाकाशे चिदादित्य स्सदाभासति भासति’ meaning ‘The Sun of Consciousness Always Shines in the Heart's Sky’. The sun refers to life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the plant refers to nature, growth, sustainability, and environment; the shield refers to protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; and the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.
