SELVAM COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY (SCT) The emblem of Selvam College of Technology (SCT) features the motifs of a computer, a pair of power symbols, a diode, a satellite and dish antenna, a glowing sun and an open book ensconced by a gearwheel. The name of the college in blackletters surmounts the gearwheel and a yellow banner inscribed with the college’s motto ‘Step to Success’. The gearwheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; and the other motifs refer to the different branches of engineering.
