 PEOPLES EDUCATION SOCIETY'S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (PESCE) The emblem of Peoples Education Society's College of Engineering (PESCE) features a black shield inscribed with the motifs of a gearwheel , a transmission tower , a diagram of an atom , and a bridge supported by the name of the college. Below these a pair of deer support a dharmachakra and the college’s year of establishment is written. A yellow placed on the shield at the bottom is inscribed with the status of the college. A pair of yellow laurels support the shield. A pair of deer holding a Dharmachakra symbolizes the Buddha's first sermon at Deer Park in Sarnath , with the deer representing the disciples who joyfully listen to his teachings. The Dharmachakra ( Wheel of Dharma ) represents the Buddha's teachings, particularly the Noble Eightfold Path , and the deer represent the listeners who are touched by it. P. E. S. COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (PESCE) The emblem of P. E. S. College of Engineering (PESCE) features a shield housing the motifs of a satellite dish antenna, a computer, a dam and a bridge, an electrical transmission tower, a gearwheel, a car and a factory representing the branches of the engineering study; surmounted by a banner inscribed with its motto in Kannada ‘ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾವಾನ್ ಲಭತೇ ಜ್ಞಾನಂ’(Verse 39, Chapter 4, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘The Man of Faith Obtains Knowledge’ and supported by a pair of sugarcanes and its year of establishment. Below the assemblage, on a yellow banner, the name of the college is inscribed and its status is written below. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; and the sugarcane refers to the important agricultural produce from the place of the college.
