SHRI DHARMASTHALA MANJUNATHESHWARA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY (SDMCET) The emblem of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering & Technology (SDMCET) features a brown Shivling holding a brown circle with the motifs of a gearwheel inscribed with inscribed with the college’s Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान विज्ञान’ meaning ‘Knowledge and Science’; a civil structure, a spanner, a computer and a human denoting the subject and study of engineering supported by the name of the managing Society. Below these, on a brown pedestal, the tagline of the college ‘Commitment, Competence & Teamwork’ is inscribed. This assemblage is ensconced by a border with brown outline is written on with the name of the college and its place. Shivling is a Hindu religious symbol which represents Lord Shiva as the power of all existence, generation, creativity and fertility at cosmic level.
