SINHGAD ACADEMY OF ENGINEERING (SAE) The oval-shaped emblem of Sinhgad Academy of Engineering (SAE) features a pink silhouette motif of the Singhad Fort with black silhouette motifs of two persons shaking their hands, a person holding a globe with a human, a civil engineering surveyor and a person working with a computer. Below the seal, on a yellow banner, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ ( Yajnavalkya , 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad ) meaning ‘ From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is inscribed. The person with a globe and human denotes responsibility, stewardship, protection, and the interconnectedness of humanity; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.
