The logo of MKD Institute of Technology (MKDIT) features a pictorial of an orange shield with electronic circuitry inscribed with the motifs of a computer, an electronic chip, an electromagnet, a helmet, a structure of an atom, a light bulb, etc. A red banner placed on the shield is inscribed with the name of the college and a pair of laurels support the shield. Below the motifs, on a red banner the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानेन निर्मानम्’ meaning ‘Building with Knowledge’ is written. The name of the managing Society is written above the shield. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the other motifs represent the subject disciplines of engineering.
