SRI KALAHASTHEESWARA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (SKIT) The oval emblem of Sri Kalahastheeswara Institute of Technology (SKIT) features a circle holding the motif of a gopuram of the Sri Kalahastheeswara temple referring to the local deity and His blessings. The circle is surrounded by the motifs of an electrical transmission tower, a computer, a processing plant, and a satellite dish antenna and ensconced by a gearwheel referring to the subject disciplines of engineering. The name of the college surmounts the gearwheel and supported by a yellow banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Telugu ‘విద్యయామృత మశ్నుతే’ (Verse 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Knowledge Enjoys Immortality’.

The shield is ensconced by a green circular border inscribed with the name and place of the institute. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery.
