SHAHUL HAMEED MEMORIAL ENGINEERING COLLEGE (SHMEC) The yellow and orange emblem of Shahul Hameed Memorial Engineering College (SHMEC) features a shield on yellow circle the motifs of a portrait of construction engineer, an airplane, a satellite dish antenna and a pair of electrical transmission towers, ensconced by an orange gearwheel inscribed with its name and place. The gearwheel denotes  interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the shield refers to protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; and the motifs refer to the study of engineering.
