BTL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT (BTL ITM) The emblem of BTL Institute of Technology and Management (BTL ITM) features a nib of a fountain pen crested by a mortarboard hat and supported by an open book at the bottom and a pair of laurels on the sides. Below the seal, ‘Bharat Education’; and its motto in Sanskrit ‘असतोमा सदगमय’ and its meaning ‘From Ignorance, Lead Me to Light’ are written. The nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the book refers to education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
