V.O.CHIDAMBARAM COLLEGE (VOC COLLEGE) The ship-shaped emblem of V.O.Chidambaram College (VOC College) houses the motifs of a ship on the ocean; a lotus and a swan. The ship on the ocean refers to the shipping operations carried out by the nationalist Shri V. O. Chidambaram against the British imperialism ; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; and the swan is a sacred bird and are symbols of grace and beauty.
