The name of the college is written on the right in blue serif capitals. The Maravaneri Sugavaneswarar temple, Salem Sugavaneswarar Temple or Sri Sugavaneswarar Temple is an ancient Shiva temple located near Maravaneri, which is known for its 2,000-year-old history and association with the saint Suga Brahmmarishi. The deity is a Lingam with a slight slant and is believed to bear a scar from a hunter's arrow. The Image of God Shri Sugvaneswarar symbolises heritage and divine blessings.

A pair of peacocks sit atop the shield along with a partial globe. On a banner placed below the shield the name of the college is written. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the sun refers to represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the books refer to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the gearwheel refers to science, engineering and technology; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; and the peacocks symbolise regrowth, rejuvenation, royalty, respect, honour, integrity, beauty, love and passion.
