VIJAYA VITTALA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (VVIT) The emblem of Vijaya Vittala Institute of Technology (VVIT) features a an open book supporting a traditional lamp circumscribed by a pair of laurels and a banner inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘विज्ञान ज्ञान सहितम्’ (Shloka 1, Chapter 9, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Experience Combined with Knowledge’ is placed on a yellow circle ensconced by a black circular border bearing the name and place of the college. The book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
