SYED AMMAL ENGINEERING COLLEGE (SAEC) The circular emblem of Syed Ammal Engineering College (SAEC) features a red shield inscribed with the motifs of a hammer and spanner, an open book, an electric bulb and a computer representing different branches of engineering ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with its name and motto in Tamil ‘உழைப்பிற்கு இணையில்லை’ meaning ‘No Substitute for Hard Work’. The shield refers to protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the colour red denotes passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration; and blue denotes  serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
