NAGAR YUWAK SHIKSHAN SANSTHA, AIROLI'S DATTA MEGHE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING ( DMCE ) The emblem of Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Sanstha, Airoli's Datta Meghe College of Engineering (DMCE) features a lamp with a flame surmounted by a gearwheel, and supported by a banner inscribed with the initials of the college ‘DMCE’. These are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college in Devanagari and supported by a banner inscribed with the motto in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ ( Rishi Parāśara , 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa ) meaning ‘ Knowledge is One That Liberates ’. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.
