WAINGANGA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT ( WCEM ) The emblem of Wainganga College of Engineering and Management (WCEM) features a red gearwheel housing a motif of a traditional lamp with flame . Below the pictorial the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa ) meaning ‘ Knowledge is One That Liberates’ is written. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
