COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, CHERTHALA (CECTL) The blue colour emblem of College of Engineering, Cherthala (CECTL) features a pair of elephants supporting pedestal holding the motifs of a microprocessor, a computer and a tree with a pair of students studying under it, with a diagram of an atom and satellite dish antenna placed on the sides and ensconced by a circular outline. The name of the college circumscribes the circle. This assemblage is placed inside a gearwheel. Below the gearwheel, on a banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्’ (Gayatri Mantra) meaning ‘May He Enlighten Our Intellects’ is inscribed. The elephants refer to the State of Kerala; the tree symbolises strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity; the gearwheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the other motifs refers to the study of engineering.
