PRAVIN ROHIDAS PATIL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY ( PRPCET ) The emblem of Pravin Rohidas Patil College of Engineering & Technology (PRPCET) features a shield housing the motifs of a trishul or trident supported by a balance scale and an open book with the name of the managing Trust written around. On a red banner placed below the shield, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्या परम दैवतम्’ ( Bhartrihari, Niti Shatakam ) meaning ‘Knowledge is the Supreme Deity’ is written. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the trishul symbolises the control over the three aspects of nature - creation, preservation and destruction; balance scales are the traditional symbols of justice as wielded by statues of Lady Justice and the supporting hands signify the support for justice, healing and life; and the book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom.
