VELALAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (VCET) The circular seal of Velalar College of Engineering and Technology (VCET) features the picture of Sangameswarar Temple, Bhavani, Erode in a circle ensconced by a pair of sugarcanes. The also houses the motifs of a traditional lamp, a pair of crests of paddy and a lotus. Below the seal, on a blue banner, the initials of the college ‘VCET’ is inscribed. The temple signifies divine blessings and benevolence; the lotus being the National Flower, symbolises the blooming of young minds on acquiring knowledge while learning in the college; the paddy and sugarcane represents the prosperity of the rural areas where most students come to learn.
