GURUNANAK INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, NAGPUR (GNIT) The blue colour seal of Gurunanak Institute of Technology, Nagpur (GNIT) features a Khanda supporting an open book and ‘ੴ’ or ‘Ik Om’ or ‘Ek Onkar’ meaning ‘God is One’ which is a core principle of Sikhism , The motifs are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the motto of the college in Gurmukhi ‘ਵਿਦਿਆ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ’, which translates to ‘He Who Reflects Upon Knowledge Becomes a Benefactor to Others’. Below the seal, on two banners, the name and place of the college are written. The khanda symbolises power, courage and justice; and the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

GURU NANAK INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY (GNIT) The logo of Guru Nanak Institute of Engineering & Technology (GNIT) features a stylised partial lotus flower in green, magenta, blue and red and the ‘GNI’ with the letter ‘I’ depicted as a torch with flame. The name of the college is written on the right and the name of the group of institutions is written at the bottom and the motto of the Institute ‘Education First’ is written below. The certifications and other details of the college are written at the bottom. The lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty and the different streams of education the Group offers; and the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power.

The book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; and the flying birds denote freedom, transcendence, and hope, as they bridge the physical and spiritual worlds with their ability to soar between earth and sky.
