PARISUTHAM INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE (PITS) The emblem of Parisutham Institute of Technology & Science (PITS) features a ‘Check’ mark, ‘Yes’ mark ‘done’ mark or ‘okay’ mark supported by a mortarboard hat. The initials of the college are written four boxes placed above the motif and the motto of the college ‘Towards Excellence’ is written below. The ‘check’ mark refers to affirmation, correctness, completion, and approval, originating from the Latin 'v' for veritas (truth) and evolving from quick notations on ancient tablets to its modern use. The mortarboard or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage.

PARISUTHAM INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE (PITS) The pictorial emblem of Parisutham Institute of Technology and Science (PITS) features a grey check mark with a dark blue mortarboard hat supported by its motto ‘Towards Excellence’ and surmounted by its initials and two squares of grey and blue. Check marks or ticks are used to show something is correct, chosen, complete, or verified. The tick ‘✔’ comes from the letter V in the Latin word ‘veritas’, which means truth. The mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage. The colours grey signifies strength, longevity, unemotional, detached, balanced and impartial, power, influence, wisdom and intelligence; and blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
