VELAMMAL ENGINEERING COLLEGE The pictorial emblem of Velammal Engineering College (VEC) features an abstract motif of orange lotus with a yellow gearwheel forming the sun. The motifs are supported by its name and the motto ‘The Wheel of Knowledge Rolls on!’ of the college. The lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the gearwheel refers to engineering studies; and the colours yellow and orange signifies happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.
