JEPPIAAR ENGINEERING COLLEGE (JEC) The orange colour emblem of Jeppiaar Engineering College (JEC) features a pentagon housing the motifs of a gearwheel, a satellite dish antenna, a computer, a pair of electrical transmission towers, a handshake, and a structural bridge ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college ‘Respect Education Manners Involvement’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal. The pentagon symbolises harmony, elements (earth, air, fire, water, spirit), protection, perfection, and humanity; the gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the handshake symbolises to goodwill, agreement, or farewell, representing trust, respect, and equality; and the other motifs refer to different disciplines of engineering and technology. JYOTHI ENGINEERING COLLEGE (JEC) The emblem of Jyothi Engineering College (JEC) features a torch with flame superimposed with a structure of an atom and supported by its tagline ‘Lead Kindly Light’ ensconced by a red oval. The oval is surmounted by the name of the college and supported by a pair of laurels holding the letters ‘TET’. The motto of the college ‘Creating Technology Leaders of Tomorrow’ and ‘Estd 2002;’ are written below the seal. The torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and regenerative power; the atomic structure refers to science and engineering; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
