ANNAMMAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION FOR WOMEN (ACEW) The emblem of Annammal College of Education for Women (ACEW) features a shield inscribed with the motifs of a blooming lotus on water under a rising sun surmounted by an open book supported by a pair of swans. The motto of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவொளியால் அருள் மலர’ meaning ‘May the Grace Bloom Through Enlightenment’  is written on a blue banner placed below the shield. The year of establishment of the college is written at the bottom. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lotus  represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the sun  represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the swans are sacred and are symbols of grace and beauty.

ARUNACHALA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING FOR WOMEN (ACEW) The gearwheel shaped emblem of Arunachala College of Engineering for Women (ACEW) features the motifs of a traditional lamp, an electrical transmission tower, an open book and a satellite dish antenna; with its name inscribed on the gearwheel and supported by a banner inscribed with its motto ‘Work is Worship’. The gearwheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; and the other motifs refer to engineering education.
