(SJRIT) |
The emblem of Shri. Jaykumar Rawal Institute of Technology (SJRIT) features a traditional lamp with a big yellow and red flame surrounded by the motifs of a satellite dish antenna, a bridge, a set of three gear wheels, a pair of windmills, an electrical transmission tower, and a computer representing the subject disciplines of engineering and technology. The seal is ensconced by a violet border inscribed with the letters ‘SVS’ and the name and place of the college. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘उध्दरेदात्मनात्मानम्’ (6.5, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Let A Man Be Lifted Up By His Own Self’ is inscribed on the bottom portion of the border, with the year of establishment of the college written below. A pair of red hands support the seal. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
