KERALA MARITIME BOARD The emblem of Kerala Maritime Board (KMB) has a red helm or sailor’s wheel ensconced by a sailor’s rope in blue colour housing a brown circle which bears its name in English and Malayalam. Inside the circle are the motifs of a ship, a map of the State of Kerala, an anchor and its acronym KMB. The whole pictorial sails on waves of water. The emblem is interesting, attractive and detailed.

SAGARMALA

SAGARMALA The insignia for Sagarmala, the port-led development of logistics, has a helm of ship housing a motif of ship on flowing waters, a port, a connecting road to the land and a factory in tricolour of the National Flag. Below these pictorial its name is written. At the bottom its tagline 'Port-led Development' is written. The logo is legible, representative and informative.

ACADEMY OF MARITIME EDUCATION AND TRAINING

ACADEMY OF MARITIME EDUCATION AND TRAINING Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) is India's first ‘Deemed to be University’ in its domain of education. The emblem of the university in blue and red has an anchor supported by splashes of water to depict a ship. This is housed in a ship's helm with eight handles. These are ensconced by a red border on which the name of the university is written supported by six stars and at the bottom it has the acronym of the name. Below this ‘Deemed University’ is written and at the bottom on a blue banner its motto ‘Steering Quality Education’ is written. The anchor, helm and water are the most representative of any maritime activity as shown in this emblem. The stars denote perfection, humanity, magic and peace. INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY

INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY The Indian Maritime University came into being through an Act of Parliament (Act 22) on November 14, 2008 as a Central University. Its cyan, brown and blue circular logo has an anchor in the middle, placed inside a helm or sailor’s wheel is ensconced by a circular border, where its name in Devanagari and English are placed along its motto in Sanskrit ‘ समुद्र ज्ञानं ज्ञान समुद्रम्’ meaning ‘The Knowledge of the Ocean is Ocean of Knowledge’.
