RABINDRANATH TAGORE UNIVERSITY   Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU)is a State University located in Hojai in Assam. The university was established by Rabindranath Tagore University Bill, 2017 which was passed by the Government of Assam on September 7, 2017. It was created by upgrading the Hojai College of Hojai. The emblem of the university has an open book supporting a traditional lamp placed in the background of an Assamese text. These are ensconced by a blue border which carries its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge Enjoys Immortality’ taken from Ishopanishad Verse 11. The emblem is placed on a small decorative pedestal. The book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom and the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

RABINDRANATH TAGORE UNIVERSITY India’s first skill based private university, Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) strives to impart skill based education and promote research driven advancement of knowledge for creating successful professionals. Established by the Rabindranath Tagore Group in 2010, it has carved a niche for itself in Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. With strong industry linkages, RNTU’s focus lies in the holistic learning and development of the student. The university is recognised under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act ( RNTU ).  The emblem of the university has the acronym of its name written in the colours used in its promoter’s logo using sans serif bold font. It uses black,blue, orange and red to denote the multiple stakeholders, cultures and beneficiaries. At its right a portrait of Tagore is placed. On the right side of the portrait its name is written in black serif font in three lines.
