ASBM UNIVERSITY Professor Biswajeet Pattanayak established the Asian School of Business Management (ASBM) in 2006 on a green campus close to Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary In Bhubaneswar. In recognition of its performance, the Government of Odisha conferred on Asian School of Business Management the ‘University Status’ on September 26, 2019 by the enactment of the ASBM University, Odisha Act, 2019 (Odisha Act 4 of 2019). Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach is a fable, which inspired the founder of the university and impacted him. The emblem of the university is the outcome of that inspiration about the importance of making the most of our life, even if our goals run contrary to the norms of the society. The emblem of the university has a pictorial and a word mark in blue. The seagull is flying out of a blue square, supported by the vertical tricolour of India.
