VISAKHA DAIRY The insignia of Visakha Dairy is a pictorial of an udder of cow supported by a drop of milk in blue colour placed above its name on a blue rectangular banner. At the bottom its tagline ‘The Health of India’ is written in italics. The colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

INTER DAIRY The logo for the Inter Dairy, an international exhibition for complete value chain of dairy business has a pictorial of a splashing milk in blue ensconced by a partial gear wheel in green. The gear wheel represents the dairy industry and business. This is supported by a green and cyan wordmark of 'Inter Dairy' written in sans serif bold typeface. The logo is simple and representative.

CHHATTISGARH STATE COOPERATIVE DAIRY FEDERATION LTD. The Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Dairy Federation Ltd. (CSCDF) is a red patch depicting a slashing of milk on which ,देवभोग’ or ‘Devbhog’ is written in Devanagari. Below the red splash in Devanagari ‘दूध एवं दुग्ध पदार्थ’ meaning ‘Milk and Milk Products’ is written. The colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

KAMDHENU UNIVERSITY

KAMDHENU UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kamdhenu University (KU) in orange and blue has water, earth and sky, three of five elements of nature are depicted by motifs of  fish, cow and bird. The can of milk denotes dairy and mechanisation, cattle farming; the open book denotes knowledge;  the dark blue cross symbolises veterinary sciences and profession; while K and U - represents Kamdhenu University. 'K' is depicted as an arrow pointing to the goals and ‘U’ as a test tube denotes scientific research. Two majestic Asiatic lions of Gujarat signifies courage. The octagonal background ensconcing logo is the symbol of Goddess Laxmi. Its motto in Sanskrit written at the bottom in Sanskrit ‘सर्वभूतहितेरता:’ (Verse 25, Chapter 5, Bhagavad Gita) means ‘Striving for Welfare of All Living Beings’.

NATIONAL DAIRY RESEARCH INSTITUTE

NATIONAL DAIRY RESEARCH INSTITUTE  The National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) is a national level institute for breeding technology, feeding technology, fodder demonstration, animal health care and animal management but dissemination of the technical know-how. In 1964 eastern regional station was set up at Kalyani in West Bengal. In 1970, NDRI was brought under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The institute achieved the status of Deemed University from 1989. The circular emblem of the institute has a gear wheel which houses the national emblem of India supported by a cow and milk bottle at the bottom and a pair of corn plants on its sides ensconced by a border which bears the name of the university in Devanagari and its acronym. Below this motif its acronym written in black and red is placed above blurting milk. AMUL

AMUL Amul began when milk became a symbol of protest. It was founded in 1946 to stop exploitation by middlemen and inspired by the freedom movement and advised by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Thus began the cooperative , the Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd. Dr. Verghese Kurien took charge from 1950 and he was the first head of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). AMUL is derived from Sanskrit ‘Amoolya’ meaning invaluable. This is developed from Old English Text typeface and has stood the test of time and is fondly remembered by consumers.
