DEVI AHILYA VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAU) has a hand holding a torch with flame supported by an open book and a pair of laurels with a backdrop of water. The circle holding these motifs are ensconced by a green border, on which its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्’ (Sage Vishwamitra, Mandala 3.12.60, Gayatri Mantra, Rig Veda) meaning ‘May He Enlighten Our Intellect’ are inscribed. The torch with flame an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the open book represents learning, knowledge, education and wisdom; the wavy water represents growth, renewal and transformation and the colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

MANIPUR UNIVERSITY

MANIPUR UNIVERSITY Manipur University was established on June 5, 1980 under the Manipur University Act 1980 (Manipur Act 8 of 1980), as a teaching cum affiliating university at Imphal with territorial jurisdiction over the whole of the state of Manipur and it was converted into a Central University with effect from October 13, 2005. The red circular emblem of the university traditional lamp burning bright in a circle, symbolising light, brightness, path to progress and growth. This is surrounded by a circular border which carries the the name of the university in Meiteilon and its motto in Sanskrit ‘धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्’ meaning ‘May the Mind that Inspires Us’

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ROPAR Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) is a public technical university located in Rupnagar, Punjab, India. It is one of the eight newer Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011. The emblem derives itself from Punjab, which means ‘five rivers’ (Beas, Satluj, Ravi, Chenab, and Jhelum). ‘Punj’ means 'five' and ‘aab’ means 'waters', so, 'Punjab' means 'land of five rivers'. This is the main focus of this logo, ‘the five rivers.’ The logo of IIT Punjab (Ropar) has a deep inner meaning. The central element is made up of five students in the logo and the gear are working collaboratively, hand to hand in Punjab (which is being nourished by five rivers) Pentagon, five people and five tools using different tools five ploughs in the logo to create or extract
