BENGALURU NORTH UNIVERSITY The Government of Karnataka has notified the establishment of Bengaluru North University by trifurcating the erstwhile Bangalore University through its Gazette Notification on August 13, 2015 and was inaugurated on September 21, 2017. This is a State University located in Kolar in Karnataka. The emblem of the university depicts the importance of the jurisdictional area through its geographical features, scientific development and the rhythm of people’s lives. The circular emblem has three concentric circles, which represent the conscious, subconscious and dreams. The outermost circle in yellow represents the universe, power, intellect, honour, enlightenment, timelessness, positivity and the cyclic movement of life; the cyan circle represents the earth and the blue circle represents the university simplicity, purity, openness and optimism. BENGALURU CITY UNIVERSITY

BENGALURU CITY UNIVERSITY Bangalore Central University (BCU), one of the offspring of the trifurcation of Bangalore University, was formed in 2017 is a state university which is located in Bengaluru. Earlier it was known as Bengaluru Central University and renamed in 2020. The insignia of the university has the clock tower of the British era Central College, which now houses the university supported by a traditional rangoli and yantra in reddish brown colour. At its left its name is written in Kannada and at its right in English. Below the motif its motto is written in Kannada ‘ಆಗು ನೀ ಅನಿಕೇತನ’ (Kavi Kuvempu, The Song of Universal Man) and in English ‘Be Boundless’

IIMB has a strong brand identity with a logo that has great recall. The sun symbol has been designed by the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and has been in use since 1994. The concept of the current logo is based on a line from the Sanskrit shloka which has become the motto of IIMB - तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु. This line, derived from the peace invocation of several Upanishads, translates as: 'Let our study be enlightening. Let us together be protected and let us together be nourished by God’s blessings / Let us together join our mental forces in strength for the benefit of humanity / Let our study be enlightening / Let us never be poisoned with the seed

NATIONAL GALLERY OF MODERN ART The idea of a national art gallery was first mooted in 1949. It was nurtured carefully by Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru and Maulana Azad, bureaucrats like Humayun Kabir and an active art community. Vice president Dr S. Radhakrishanan formally inaugurated the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) on March 29, 1954. The choice of Jaipur House, one of the premier edifices of Lutyens’ Delhi, signified the envisaged high profile of the institution. Designed by Sir Arthur Bloomfield, as a residence for the Maharaja of Jaipur, the butterfly-shaped building with a central dome was built in 1936. It was styled after a concept of the Central Hexagon visualised by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Alongwith buildings designed for other princely potentates like Bikaner and Hyderabad, Jaipur House girded the India Gate circle. It has branches in Bangalore and Mumbai. BANGALORE METRO RAIL CORPORATION LIMITED Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka is a Special Purpose Vehicle entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Bangalore Metro Rail Project. The logo was designed by Jayanth Jain and Mahendra Kumar of A Brand New Story. The emblem in purple with green dots, depict a rangoli which graces the front yards of houses, which is a part of Bengaluru’s culture. Its never-ending loop signifies ‘infinite’ coverage of metro lines. The tagline ‘namma metro’ in green is a friendly phrase used by Kannadigas.

KEMPEGOWDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

KEMPEGOWDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (BLR Airport), named after founder of the City - Hiriya Kempegowda - is the first Greenfield Airport in India, established on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Its logo has got an emblem consisting of petals from the flowers three plants found in Bangalore - Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia) – greenish blue, Gulmohur (Delonix regia) - Orange and the Copper Pod (Peltophorum pterocarpum) – yellow. Below this is its name ‘Kempegowda’ written in greenish blue and below that is ‘International Airport, Bengaluru’ in black. The logo was designed by Ray and Keshavan of the Brand Union.
