THE INDIAN EXPRESS For over seventy five years, The Express Group of publications has been synonymous with excellence in journalism and a commitment to independence and fairness. Its flagship newspaper The Indian Express has well known for Outstanding Journalism in the Public Interest. The newspaper’s masthead motif has three elements: pen, flame and name ‘E’ for ‘Express’ in red. This is very attractive, nuanced and memorable. Alongside, its name is written in a combination of serif italics - ‘The Indian’ and sans serif - ‘Express’ fonts in bold. Its tagline ‘Journalism of Courage’ is written below.

THE MATHRUBHUMI PRINTING AND PUBLISHING COMPANY LTD. Mathrubhumi is a Malayalam newspaper that is published from Kerala, India. It was founded by K. P. Kesava Menon, a volunteer in the Indian freedom struggle against the British. The word ‘Mathrubhumi’ translates to 'mother land'. It is the second most widely read newspaper daily in Kerala. It publishes a variety of magazines and supplements including the weekly literary magazine, Mathrubhumi Azhchappathippu. It is printed from ten places in Kerala, four places in the rest of India and two places outside India. Its logo and masthead is a stylised calligraphic writing of its name in bold strokes.
